Honorary Degree Recipients for Commencement 2012 Announced

Dr. Maureen Maguire ’75, a top ophthalmologist at the University of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Aaron Gast, trustee emeritus at the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation, will receive honorary degrees at Rider’s 147th Commencement ceremonies. Dr. Morten Lauridsen, Distinguished Professor of Composition at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, will be similarly honored at the Westminster Choir College ceremony.

Rove Says Pa. is a Bellwether in a ‘Tight’ Presidential Race

More than 500 people of varied political stripes turned out to hear Republican strategist Karl Rove’s thoughts on the 2012 presidential election. Rove was a guest of Rider’s Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics.

The Rider chapter of the National Broadcasting Society (NBS) captured six first-place awards at the NBS’ 49th National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition on March 24 in Jersey City, N.J.
