“Watercolors: New Jersey Landscapes,” by
W. Carl Burger continues through February 22
The Rider University Art Gallery is presenting an exhibit entitled
“Watercolors: New Jersey Landscapes,” by W. Carl
Burger, which continues through Thursday, February 22. The Art
Gallery is located in the Bart Luedeke Center on the Lawrenceville

“Volanti Flutes” Will Perform on February
8
Westminster Conservatory faculty will present a Chamber Music
Concert on Thursday, February 8 at 7 p.m. in the Rider University
Art Gallery on the Lawrenceville campus. The members of “Volanti
Flutes” are Jill Crawford, Ellen Fisher Deerberg, Katherine
McClure and Barbara Highton Williams. The program will include
an arrangement of Gabriel Fauré’s “Pavane,
the Quatuor de flûtes, op. 108” by Florent Schmitt,
“Trois Pièces” by Eugene Bozza, the “Quatuor
pour flûtes” by Pierre Max Dubois, the “Quartet”
of Anton Bernhard Fürstenau, and selections from Bizet’s
“Carmen” arranged for flutes. Admission is free.
“An Afternoon of Chamber Music” to be held
February 11
Pianist Phyllis Alpert Lehrer, violinist Denise Huizenga, violinist
Susan Yeh and cellist Daniel Lee will present a chamber music
recital on Sunday, February 11 at 3 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on
the Westminster campus. The repertoire consists of Beethoven’s
“Kreutzer Sonata for Piano and Violin,” Mozart’s
“Piano Quartet in G Minor,” and Brahms’ “Piano
Trio in B Major, op. 8.” Tickets are $15 for adults and
$10 for students/seniors and are available by calling the Westminster
box office at 609-921-2663. Students, faculty and staff receive
two free tickets with a valid Rider ID.
“Westminster Conservatory at Nassau” Recital
Takes Place on February 15
At 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, the monthly series
“Westminster Conservatory at Nassau,” will present
“Trio da Capo” - Ileana Ciumac, violin; Tomasz Rzeczycki,
cello; and Galina Prilutskaya, piano - in a performance of Felix
Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor, op. 49. This
free recital will take place in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian
Church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton.
Rider Fine Arts Department Presents “Gross Indecency:
The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde”
“Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde,”
by Moisés Kaufman and directed by Miriam Mills is being
presented by the Rider Fine Arts Department in The Yvonne Theater
in the Fine Arts Building on the Lawrenceville campus. The play
has been described by “Newsday” as “Stunning…taut,
shattering, yet delightfully exuberant…altogether fascinating.”
There is a preview on Thursday, February 15 at 7 p.m. and performances
on Friday and Saturday, February 16 and 17, and Friday and Saturday,
February 23 and 24, all at 8 p.m. Tickets for the preview (available
only at the door) are $4 general admission, and $10 for adults
and $5 for students/seniors for the other performances. For
