Rider Fine Arts Department to Present “The Heidi Chronicles” April 13, 14, 20 and 21

The Rider Fine Arts Department will present Wendy Wasserstein’s “The Heidi Chronicles,” directed by RaeAnn Banker April 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. in The Yvonne Theater in the Fine Arts Building on the Lawrenceville campus. The play has been hailed as an enlightened portrait of a generation that charts the 1965-to-the-present experiences of a feminist art historian and her friends and lovers. With painful hilarity, we follow Heidi Holland through the turmoil of the ’60s—from campaigning for Eugene McCarthy to challenging male bias to consciousness-raising. Howard Kissel of the “New York Daily News” wrote about the play: “Splendid humor, clear-headedness and a healthy compassion for absurdity … This is not just a funny play, but a wise one.” Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors and are available by calling the box office in Lawrenceville at 609-896-5303. Tickets for the preview performance on Thursday April 12 at 7 p.m. are $4 for general admission and are available only at the door.
