“Audrey Flack: Abstract Expressionist 1950s”
Opened March 1 at Art Gallery
The Rider University Art Gallery is presenting an exhibit by
Audrey Flack entitled “Audrey Flack: Abstract Expressionist
1950s,” which opened on March 1 and will continue through
Thursday, April 5. There will also be a gallery performance
– Audrey Flack and the Flacktones Art Band – tomorrow,
Thursday, March 22 at 7 p.m. The Art Gallery is located in the
Bart Luedeke Center on the Lawrenceville campus and admission

Verdi “Requiem” Performed by Westminster
Symphonic Choir, Westminster Festival Orchestra March 24
Giuseppe Verdi’s “Requiem” will be presented
by the Westminster Symphonic Choir and Westminster Festival
Orchestra on Saturday, March 24 at 8 p.m. in the Princeton University
Chapel. The performance will be conducted by Joe Miller. Soloists
are Sharon Sweet, soprano; Melanie Sonnenberg, mezzo-soprano;
Scott McCoy, tenor; and Simon Estes, bass-baritone. Tickets
are $45, $35, $20 and $15 and are available by calling the Westminster

Westminster Conservatory Showcase March 25
The Westminster Conservatory Showcase, to be held on Sunday,
March 25 at 3 p.m. in Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall
at Princeton University, will feature the Westminster Community
Orchestra (Ruth Ochs, conductor), Westminster Community Chorus
(Devin Mariman, conductor), Westminster Children’s Choirs
(Yvonne Macdonald and Patty Thel, conductors), Westminster Conservatory
Piano Competition Winners (Chen Chen, Joshua Suslak and Molly
Zhu) and soloists soprano Aurora Micu and baritone Elem Eley.
The program will include Beethoven’s “King Stephen
Overture,” Michael Haydn’s “Magnificat”
and Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem.”

Westminster Music Theater Presents “The Music
Man” March 30, 31 and April 1
Westminster Music Theater will present “The Music Man,”
a classical American musical, on Friday and Saturday, March
30 and 31 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 at 2 p.m. in the Princeton
Regional Schools Performing Arts Center at Princeton High School.
Artistic directors are Michael Pantone and Laurie Gamache, choreography
is by Laurie Gamache, the music director is Cris Frisco and
the book, music and lyrics are by Meredith Willson and Franklin
Lacey. A con man comes to a Midwestern town with a scam involving
a boys marching band program, but things don’t go according
to plan. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and

Westminster Schola Cantorum and the Greater Trenton
Symphony Orchestra 75th Anniversary Celebration April 1
Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Trenton War Memorial,
this festive concert by Westminster Schola Cantorum and the
Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, April 1 at 4 p.m.,
will focus on works by American composers, including Randall
Thompson’s “Testament of Freedom.” The conductors

Westminster Schola Cantorum, conducted by Andrew Megill, will

Rider Fine Arts Department to Present “The Heidi
Chronicles” April 12, 13, 14, 20 and 21
The Rider Fine Arts Department will present Wendy Wasserstein’s
“The Heidi Chronicles,” directed by RaeAnn Banker,
on Thursday, April 12 (preview at 7 p.m.), and April 13, 14,
20 and 21 at 8 p.m. in The Yvonne Theater in the Fine Arts Building
on the Lawrenceville campus. It is hailed as an enlightened
portrait of a generation that charts the 1965-to-the-present
experiences of a feminist art historian and her friends and
lovers. With painful hilarity, we follow Heidi Holland through
the turmoil of the ’60s—from campaigning for Eugene
McCarthy to challenging male bias to consciousness-raising.

about the play: “Splendid humor, clear-headedness and
a healthy compassion for absurdity … This is not just

Westminster Chapel Choir Performs “Music of the
Seasons” April 14
Four “seasons,” or emotions, of the human heart
– Joy, Love, Peace and Hope – will be explored through
a diverse program of sacred and secular choral works by the
Westminster Chapel Choir, conducted by Sun Min Lee, on Saturday,
April 14 at 8 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus.
The concert will feature works by Pärt, Delius, Bach and
