Rider Grad Named 2007 Delaware Valley Human Resources Person of the Year

Monica R. McClintock, a cum laude graduate of Rider University with a bachelor of science in business administration degree in human resource management, is a recipient of the 2007 Delaware Valley Human Resources Person of the Year Award. The reception and awards ceremony took place at the Crowne Plaza in Valley Forge, PA, on May 10.

The Delaware Valley Human Resources Person of the Year Award was developed in 2001 to celebrate the numan resources industry (there are 5,000 HR professionals regionally) and recognize those in the HR profession who exemplify outstanding achievement within the local human resources community. Awards are given to those in companies with (1) 1-500 employees, (2) 501-2,000, (3) 2,001-10,000 and (4) 10,001 or more employees. This prestigious award recognizes creative approaches and consistently high performance that benefits an organization. Ms. McClintock was one of 18 HR professionals nominated and one of four who was the recipient of this award.

Ms. McClintok began her career in Human Resources more than 20 years ago. In September 2004, she joined Albert’s Organics, a subsidiary of United Natural Foods, Inc., as human resource director. Previously, she worked in various business arenas including consulting for Granatt HR, healthcare for South Jersey Healthcare and Bancroft Neurohealth, printing for Celebration, and various technology companies such as Real Media, Inrange Technologies, Siemens and TeleSciences. Throughout her career, she performed work in domestic and international talent management, training and development, change and project management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, community outreach, performance management, relocation and safety.

In addition, she gained the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), the highest level of certification in the profession, and completed the Rutgers Human Resource Management certification program. She served as president of the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association (TSHRMA) and as chapter representative of the Garden State Council for the Society for Human Resource Management. She is currently serving as board of director for TSHRMA and is a member of both the Society for Human Resource Management and Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey.
