Rider Announces Promotion and Tenure
Twenty-eight Rider faculty members have received
promotions, which will become effective Sept. 1.
They are:
• From Associate Professor to Professor: Dr. Michael Curran,
teacher education; Dr. Susan Denbo, business policy/environment;
Margaret Cusack, piano and voice; Dr. Stefan Dombrowski, graduate
education; Dr. Ronald Hemmel, music composition, history, and
theory; Dr. Jonathan Karp, biology; Dr. Gerald Klein, management
sciences; and Dr. Mary Poteau-Tralie, foreign languages and literatures.
• From Assistant Professor II to Associate Professor with
tenure: Dr. Stephen Allen, fine arts; Dr. Rebecca Basham, English;
Dr. Barbara Franz, political science; Dr. Betsy Haywood-Sullivan,
accounting; Dr. Brooke Hunter, history; Dr. Laura Hyatt, biology;
Dr. Paul Jivoff, biology; Dr. Cynthia Newman, marketing; Dr. Kathleen
