Traffic Advisory for the May 10 Commencement Ceremony

Due to the expected high volume of visitors and vehicle traffic on Thursday, May 10, the following traffic guidelines will apply on the Lawrenceville campus:

• Departments conducting normal business should not schedule appointments and deliveries between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

• Departments, organizations and staff members having receptions must have the
food picked up or delivered before 4 p.m.

• The main gate will be closed to outgoing traffic from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• The main and south gates will be closed to incoming traffic from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• The commencement procession will begin at 5:30 p.m.

• At the start of the commencement ceremony all campus roadways surrounding Centennial Lake will be one way. Rider University Public Safety Officers will direct all traffic counter clockwise around the lake to the south gate.

• Traffic exiting the campus via the main gate (at the traffic signal) from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. will be directed onto Route 206 by the Lawrence Township Police.

• Traffic exiting the campus from the south gate after 5:30 p.m. will be directed onto
Route 206 by the Lawrence Township Police. Motorists exiting campus should
expect delays.

• Normal campus traffic patterns should be restored at 9 p.m.

• Staff members who will need to use their vehicles during the late afternoon are asked to park in Adath Israel Temple lot, located on the northbound side of Route 206 near the south gate.
