Three
Convocations Welcome New School Year
Three opening convocations mark the start of Rider’s
2006-07 academic year beginning on Thursday, August 31, 2006 with
the Opening Fall Faculty/Staff Convocation at 2 p.m. in the Cavalla
Room of the Bart Luedeke Center.
President Rozanski offers his annual
Convocation address and the Frank N. Elliott Awards are presented
to one member each of the faculty, administrative and support
staff, for outstanding service to the University. The entire Rider
community is invited to attend.
The event will be immediately followed by a reception
at the President’s House honoring new faculty and staff.
All faculty, administrative and support staff are invited to attend
and are encouraged to RSVP the President’s Office, acceptances
only, at extension 5001. In case of inclement weather, the reception
will be held in the lobby of the Student Recreation Center.
New Student Academic Convocation will take place on Tuesday,
September 5, 2006 in the Cavalla Room of the Bart Luedeke Center.
This ceremony welcomes new students to the Lawrenceville campus
as the newest members of the Rider community. The processional
begins at 12:45 p.m. and the actual ceremony at 1 p.m. Faculty
are encouraged to process in academic attire (please robe in Fireside
Lounge no later than 12:30 p.m.). All other members of the Rider
community are welcome to attend, however, seating is limited.

Westminster’s Fall Convocation will also be held on September
5 beginning at 4 p.m. in Bristol Chapel. Students, faculty and
staff attend this annual event, to celebrate the opening of the
academic year on the Princeton campus. Both President Rozanski
and Dean Robert Annis will offer remarks. All
members of the Rider community are welcome to attend, however,
seating is limited.
