| This month, Jonathan Meer (far right),
vice president for university advancement; Christina
Spoegler (far left), director of corporate and foundation
relations and Dr. Sigfredo Hernandez (second
from right); associate professor of marketing and director
of Rider’s Minding Our Business program (MOB), met with
Donald M. Tretola (second from left), regional public affairs
manager at PSE&G, to discuss the strides made by the program.
Tretola presented Hernandez a check earmarked for MOB programming
during the 2006-2007 academic year. Since 1996, MOB has trained
and mentored more than 700 students, ages 10 to 14, in starting
and running their own businesses. MOB currently has a 12-week
after-school spring program geared for middle school youngsters
(a team-oriented approach), a summer program which provides
individualized training, and an advanced program for summer
program alumni who are operating their businesses with need
of additional training. |
