Orientation, PHOCUS staff members named
• New 2006 Orientation and PHOCUS staffs have been
selected.
• Orientation staff members are a team of seven undergraduate
students who assist in the organization and implementation
of Spring Testing, Summer Orientation, Fall Opening , and
January Orientation. The students represent Rider University
to incoming freshmen, transfers and their families.
• They are: Kristy Bates, a junior
elementary education/psychology major; Jeff Foulkes,
a junior psychology major; Jamie Papapetros,
a sophomore communications major; Adriana Patrone,
a junior fine arts/psychology major;
Esi Sapara-Grant, a junior elementary education/fine
arts major; Mike Scuilli, a sophomore political
science/communications major; and Kim Van Heygen,
a sophomore history major.
• PHOCUS is a group of 7-8 undergraduate students who
strive to make responsible and healthy choices in their own
lives. As members of PHOCUS, they role-model this behavior
to their peers and engage them in discussion about responsible
decision-making.
PHOCUS members perform during Fall Opening to incoming freshmen
about responsible decision-making around alcohol & other
topics, as well as assist in the implementation of the theme
weeks, including Alcohol Responsibility Week and Wellness
Week.
• They are: Theresa Androvett, a sophomore
communications major; Dave Fehring, a sophomore accounting/finance
major; Erin Gizzi, a junior elementary education
major; Theresa Gregory, a sophomore marketing/advertising
major; Matt Hanson, a sophomore marketing
major; Maria Panvini, a sophomore fine arts
major; Mike Scuilli, a sophomore political science/communications
major; and Ellen Thompson, a freshman journalism
major.
