President Mordechai Rozanski announced
last week that upon the recommendation of the Provost/Vice President
for Academic Affairs Search Committee, he has invited three candidates
to be interviewed by the campus community on February 23-24; 27-28
and March 2-3, 2006.
The search resulted in a diverse group of 97 applicants and nominees
being reviewed for the position. The Search Committee interviewed
eight impressive candidates and selected three of them as finalists.
“Each candidate will have one and a half days of interviews
on both campuses,” President Rozanski said in his announcement.
“In addition, because this position is of such importance
to the entire University community, I have asked each candidate
to meet the Rider community in an open forum in the Bart Luedeke
Center Theater to deliver brief remarks and to respond to questions.
I invite all members of the community who are interested to attend
these sessions.”

attend the public forum, you are encouraged to send or e-mail
President Rozanski (mrozanski@rider.edu)
with your confidential feedback about the candidates no later
than March 6.
“I greatly appreciate the invaluable assistance and advice
of the Search Committee members: John Buschman, Lindsey
Christiansen, Susan Denbo, Julie Drawbridge, Lauren Eder, Ira
Mayo, Jonathan Millen, Joe Nadeau, Nancy Westburg, and
Trustees Bonnie Dimun and Judithanne
Scourfield McLauchlan,” President Rozanski said.
“I also offer special thanks to Witt/Kieffer, our executive
search firm, and particularly to Lucy Leske, our search consultant.”
