PHOCUS Information Session (Lawrenceville campus)
RU focused on making a positive impact on your community,
living a responsible and healthy lifestyle and sparking a
dialogue about healthy choices at Rider? If you are, Rider's
PHOCUS (Peer Health on Campus Unites Students) is for you.
PHOCUS members will perform for freshmen during Fall Opening,
coordinate programs during Alcohol Responsibility Week and
Wellness Week, role model responsible behavior to their peers
and attend a state-wide training to become certified peer
health educators. All PHOCUS members receive a stipend of

Wellness Week
Rider University will sponsor several events to promote healthy
minds and bodies during Wellness Week, March 1 through March
8. Activities kick off with health & wellness information and
free tshirts distributed at Daly’s Dining Hall from noon to
1 p.m. Other activities will include rock climbing, a wellness
resource fair, a mindfulness workshop, weight loss presentation,
free massages and a kickball game. The week is sponsored by
Residence Life, PHOCUS, the Association of Commuting Students,
the Residence Hall Association, the Student Entertainment Council,
Campus Life, and Brownwater. For more information, call Christine

Crafts Fair (Lawrenceville campus)
The Association of Commuting Students (ACS) at Rider University
will host its third annual craft fair to aid children with cancer
on Saturday, March 25. The fair will take place from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. in the Cavalla Room of the Bart Luedeke Center. Coordinated
in conjunction with Up ‘til Dawn, a national student-led and
student-operated program which contributes to childhood cancer
research and treatment, all proceeds – including the $1 entry
fee -- will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in
Nashville, TN. There will be a silent auction. For more information,
