| As a part of ongoing activities to acquaint the second cohort
of Shanghai Sanda Institute students with American institutions,
College of Business Administration Assistant Dean Julie
Luster (kneeling, center) and Karen Kehm
(first row, left), an MBA student and graduate assistant,
organized the group’s first trip to New York City. While there
on Sunday, February 5, a New York City police officer took
their picture. Luster, Kehm and the police officer’s partner
pose with the 17 Sanda students and a Sanda instructor with
Times Square in the background. The students visited the World
Trade Center, Wall Street, City Hall, Central Park, Trump
Tower and Rockefeller Center. They were able to take advantage
of New Jersey Transit’s Students Ride Free program, which
lasted from January 30 to February 5. Rider alumna
Dianna Altmiller ’05, an ESL specialist, recently
conducted small English language conversation groups to give
the students the opportunity to practice their listening and
speaking skills. |
