Track & Field

The Broncs competed at the Penn Relays and at the College of New Jersey Lion Invitational last week.
      At the Penn Relays, the men's 4 x 400 relay team of junior Gio Ramos, junior Robin Mesina, sophomore Ayotunde Owodunni and freshman Dave Lado finished second in a time of 3:18.66.
      Junior Alexis Wood finished 27th in the college shot put (12.05m).
      The women's 4 x 400 relay team of freshman Jessica Reid, junior Pam White, sophomore Carla Wynter and senior Jen Gramata finished second in their preliminary heat with a time of 3:54.01.
      The men's 4 x 100 relay team of freshman David Payne, sophomore Jamaal Harris, junior Anthony Reid and senior Brandon Hicks finished fifth in heat #2 with a time of 41.61.  Hicks also finished ninth in heat three in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.33. The Rider Sprint Medley relay team of Carla Wynter, Jen Gramata, Jessica Reid and Pam White finished 37th with a time of 4:15.87.
      At the Lion Invitational, freshman Jazmine Fenlator won the shot put (13.40m).  Sophomore Jennifer Williams placed second in the high jump (1.60m) and 10th in the triple jump (10.58m).
      Freshman Joe Viglione placed fifth in the shot put (14.32m), junior Adam Kucinski placed sixth in the long jump (6.80m) and ninth in the pole vault (4.20m), freshman Doug Beck placed sixth in the discus (42.40m) and 11th in the shot put (13.30m) and senior Gabriel Gonzalez finished sixth in the 400m hurdles (57.08).
      Alexis Wood placed fifth in the shot put (12.40m), sophomore Krystal Daniels placed sixth in the shot put (11.94m), and sophomore Ashley Miller placed sixth in the triple jump (10.86m) and 10th in the long jump (5.18m). Junior Clare O'Connell placed seventh in the shot put (11.93m) and14th in the discus (33.70m) and sophomore Jennifer Marcella placed seventh inthe javelin (36.02m).
      Freshman Katie O'Connor placed eighth in the high jump (1.50m), freshman Danielle Holmes placed eighth in the triple jump (10.76m), freshman Katie Chin placed eighth in the 400m hurdles (1:08.13), sophomore Gerry Sultana placed ninth in the 400m (1:01.60) and 14th in the 200m (26.96), sophomore Mechea Medine placed ninth in the triple jump (10.73m) and freshman Margaret Shipman placed 10th in the shot put (11.17m) and 14th in the javelin (34.34m).
