College Golf- MAAC Championships
Rider Finishes Fifth

The Rider University golf team placed fifth in the nine-team Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships, held at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
       The Broncs shot a 314 on Sunday for a three-day total of 932. Rider began the Championships in first place with a Friday-best 305 round.
     
Senior Bob Whartenby placed fifth overall among the 45 golfers to earn All-MAAC honors for the third consecutive season.  Whartenby shot a 73 on Sunday for a three-day total of 225, averaging 75 on the par 72 Disney's Palm Golf Course Sunday.
     
Sophomore Brad Domenico shot a 78 on Sunday for a three-day total of 234, good for 15th place.
     
Sophomore Jonathan Kent shot an 80 Sunday for a three-day total of 238, good for 22nd overall, and junior Jared Brechman shot an 83 Sunday for a total of 242 to place 28th.
    
Sophomore Dan Winokur had an 86 Sunday for a three-day total of  245, tied for 31st.
