Rider Runner-up at CAA Championships
Miller Most Outstanding, Four Heading to Nationals
Miller, Catone Champs, Fisch, Marrero National Qualifiers

The Rider University wrestling team finished in second place in the 11-team field at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship Tournament, held in Rider's Alumni Gymnasium Friday and Saturday.
      Hofstra University won the championship for the third consecutive season.
      Sophomore Dave Miller, the #2 seed at 157, upset the top seed, Paul Siemon of Hofstra, pinning him in 2:47 for the title. Miller won all four of his bouts, including two by fall, to be named the tournament Most Outstanding Performer.
       Senior Nick Catone, the top seed at 184 and ranked seventh in the nation, won 2-1 in the finals over the second seed, Brad Christie of Hofstra.
       Freshman Don Fisch, the #2 seed at 133 and ranked 15th in the nation, finished runner-up, losing 6-4 in the finals to the top seed, Mike Messina of Sacred Heart.
      Senior Carmelo Marrero, the #2 seed at 285 and ranked 14th in the nation, placed third, and was selected as a Wildcard entry for Nationals. Marrero defeated the fourth seed, Dan Garay of Hofstra 3-1 in the consolation finals.
      Sophomore Jared Terrell, the #3 seed at 197, placed third, defeating the fourth seed, John DaCruz of Boston 5-3 in the consolation finals.
