    Dr. Anne Law, professor and chairperson of psychology, presented a paper titled, “Using Inquiry-Based Methods in the Teaching of Developmental Psychology,” at the 25th Annual National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology, Jan. 2-5 in St. Petersburg, FL.

    Deborah Rosenthal, professor of fine arts, received rave reviews in Art in America Magazine for her exhibition of recent paintings, which ran last May at the Bowery Gallery in New York’s Chelsea area. “One of the most compelling shows that I have seen recently by a living artist,” wrote critic Lance Esplund.

    Dr. Robbie Sethi, professor and chairperson of English department, read excerpts from her latest book, Fifty-Fifty at Barnes & Noble at Princeton Marketfair on January 9 and will present another reading at the Princeton University Book Store at the end of March. She will also address the Princeton Women’s Club on her new book on February 17 at All Saints Church in Princeton. This month, she led a fiction workshop at the Cape May Winter Getaway Weekend, Jan. 17-20.

    Dr. John Sheats, professor of chemistry and chairperson of the department of chemistry, biochemistry and physics, has been appointed to the American Chemical Society's Committee on Project SEED, which oversees SEED programs around the country. He has directed Rider’s SEED program for the past 12 years and plans to do so again this summer. Targeted to high students from potentially high-risk groups, the six-week program grants $1,750 per student, enabling him or her to participate in summer research at college, university, governmental, or industrial laboratories.
