Online Course Selection Now Offered
to Freshmen, CCS students
Once again this semester, Rider students will have an
opportunity to course select online without having to visit the registrar’s
office. New for Fall 2003 is the expansion of online services to College
of Continuing Studies (CCS) students and second-semester freshmen
who will be course selecting for their next semester.
Last semester, Web course selection
for undergraduate day students was extremely successful, according
to Sue Stefanick, registrar. “We were very pleased with
the results of our first online course selection process for Fall
2002. With the expansion of online services to second-semester freshmen
and CCS, we will be able to offer better customer service and a more
efficient course selection system to an even wider audience. We’re
excited about bringing these enhanced services to the Rider community.”
She reports that: 63 percent of eligible undergraduate day students
course selected on the Web; 75 percent of the students who course
selected via the Web much preferred it to in-person course selection;
71 percent of the students who completed the survey issued by the
registrar’s office reported that they spent less than 15 minutes
in the Web course selection process.
Online course selection for Fall 2003
will start in late March. Access to WebAdvisor and a variety of training
materials is provided through the Rider homepage at www.rider.edu
by clicking on the link “WebAdvisor Information Center.”
Step-by-step instructions are available on handout sheets in the registrar’s
office located in the Fine Arts Building, Room 117. In addition, lab-based
training sessions will be offered for freshmen and CCS students course
selecting online for the first time. For more information about the
online course selection system, visit the homepage or call (609) 896-5066
