Online Course Selection Now Open
to CCS Students
Starting this past Monday, students from the College
of Continuing Studies (CCS) are now able to course select online through
Thursday, April 17th.
“We strongly urge all CCS students
to take advantage of this opportunity,” said Sue Stefanick,
registrar. “They will quickly find out just how easy it is to
use this valuable tool.”
Traditionally, CCS students begin course
selection for CCS courses one week prior to other Lawrenceville undergraduate
students. Starting at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, the remaining undergraduate
population, including those who were first-time freshmen last fall,
will start the process.
Online course selection training sessions
for all individuals will be offered Tuesday, March 25 and Thursday,
March 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Sweigart Hall Room 108. In addition,
resident assistants and house managers, who will be a valuable on-site
resource for students, may receive training Thursday, March 27 from
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., also in Sweigart Room 108.
Stefanick also reports other good news.
A course selection video tutorial and Fall 2003 course selection schedules
are now available on a redesigned WebAdvisor site on the Registrar’s
home page. CCS students will have their own port of entry into WebAdvisor
with specific instructions to guide them through the process.
During the entire online course selection
period (March 28 – April 17), a representative from the registrar’s
office will provide hands-on assistance to any students wishing to
use WebAdvisor. Those interested may go to the Fine Arts Building,
Room 115 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. weekdays. After-hours support will be
provided weekdays from 5:15 p.m. until midnight by the office of information
technologies (OIT) at (609) 896-5310. In addition, students can send
questions or comments to webadvisor@rider.edu.
Access to WebAdvisor and a variety of
training materials is provided through the Rider homepage at www.rider.edu
by choosing "WebAdvisor" from the QuickLinks drop-down box.
Step-by-step instructions are available in updated pamphlets in the
registrar’s office, located in the Fine Arts Building, Room
117 and in the CCS office in Moore Library, Room 137.
College of Business Administration (CBA)
students may pick up their course rosters and course selection forms
from the dean’s office, Sweigart Hall, Room 219. Students in
the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences may pick up their
forms from their advisors. Rosters and forms have already been mailed
out to CCS students. For more information about the online course
selection system, send an e-mail to webadvisor@rider.edu, or call
(609) 896-5066 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
