part of Rider’s Music Box Lecture Series.
Burnham is author of Beethoven

2001) and “On the Beautiful in Mozart,” an article which

(forthcoming).
“The goal of the Music Box Series
is to present material that will be of interest to the general music
lover at Rider and in the community,” said Stephen Allen,
instructor of fine arts and series’ coordinator. “The
lectures are designed to open new windows on the musical experience,
introducing both the layman and the student to a deeper appreciation
of what happens in a particular musical event.”
