Indoor Track at MAAC Championships 
Hodge MAAC Women's Coach of the Year

For the second consecutive year both the Rider University men's and women's teams placed runner-up to host Manhattan College at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday.
     Rider head coach Bill Hodge was named the women's Coach of the Year.
     For the men, senior Will Zimmerman, computer information systems,  won the 55m hurdles (7.70) and the 400m (50.01), and placed fifth in the 200m (23.02) to earn co-Most Valuable Performer honors. 
     For the women, junior Jen Riley, elementary education, won the pole vault in a new MAAC record height of 2.68m, was fourth in the high jump (1.48m) and placed eighth in the triple jump (9.69m).
     Senior Shaun Rodgers, computer information systems, won the 55m dash (6.51), sophomore Brandon Hicks, business administration,  placed second in the 55m hurdles (7.88), fourth in the high jump (1.86m), fourth in the 55m dash (6.64) and eighth in the 200m (23.96). The men's 1600m relay placed second.
     Sophomore Nicole Cirillo, psychology, placed second in the long jump (5.26m), fourth in the 200m (27.50), fifth in the 55m hurdles (8.58) and fifth in the 55m dash (7.53). Freshman Alexis Wood, general business,  placed second in the shot put (12.07m), fourth in the triple jump (10.55m) and sixth in the wt. throw (11.11m). Junior Tina Gill, accounting, was third in the shot put (11.76m).
     Freshman Kevin Jones, elementary education,  placed third in the 200m (22.81), fourth in the long jump (6.62m) and seventh in the 55m dash (6.72), junior Lou Abruzzese,  finance, placed third in the pole vault (3.340m).
     Sophomore Jen Nash, communication, was third in the long jump (5.06m), seventh in the triple jump (10.14m), and freshman Pam White, liberal arts, placed third in the 400m (1:01.58).
     Senior David DeJong, finance,  placed fourth in the mile (4:16.76) and eighth in the 3,000m (9:02.03), senior Mike Curtis, communication, placed fourth in the wt. throw (15.41m), junior Olushola Ijalana, accounting, placed fifth in the wt. throw (14.77) and seventh in the shot put (13.70m), freshman Giovanni Ramos, general business, was fifth in the 400m (51.80), sophomore Jay Kubitsky, marine science, placed sixth in the long jump (6.35m) and seventh in the triple jump (13.08m).
     Freshman Matt Catinella, secondary education,  was sixth in the 800m (2:01.05), freshman Joe Hallowell,   was sixth in the high jump (1.81m) and eighth in the 400m (53.04).
     Freshman Justine Diana, elementary education,  placed fourth in the long jump (5.02m), seventh in the 55m hurdles (8.86), freshman Clare O'Connell, marine science,  placed fourth in the shot put (11.73m) and eighth in the wt throw (10.40m), senior Uli Bromme,  communication, placed fourth in the mile (5:17.42) and fourth in the 3,000m (11:02.17), freshman Amy Sura, advertising,  placed fourth in the 55m hurdles (8.49), seventh in the 200m (27.87) and eighth in the 400m (1:02.64).
     Sophomore Lindsay Fine, elementary education,  placed fifth in the wt. throw (11.54m) and seventh in the shot put (10.08m), sophomore Jennifer Gramata, general business, placed fifth in the 800m (2:24.81) and fifth in the high jump.
     Sophomore Robert Broomhead, secondary education,  placed seventh in the 3,000 (8:54.09), senior Helder Santo, marketing, was eighth in the mile (4:26.55), and sophomore Aaron Johnson, mathematics,  was eighth in the wt. throw (12.85m).
     Sophomore Kate Henninger, elementary education, placed sixth in the 5,000m (19:36.86), senior Yesan Vaughan, communication,  was eighth in the 200m (28.10), freshman Erica DellaBonta, secondary education,  was eighth in the 3,000m (13:01.90), freshman Ingrid Reyes, secondary education,  was eighth in the shot put (10.02).
