Minority Students to Earn Doctorates Through Rider’s $880,000 McNair Grant
Rider University is addressing the need to expand the number of minority students earning doctoral degrees in sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM fields) in order to serve the needs of academe, government and industry. As the proud recipients of an $880,000 four-year Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Rider will establish a cohort of 25 underrepresented students, including African American, Hispanic and Native American undergraduates who are academically talented and ambitious. more info...
Moore Lights Brighten the Holiday Spirit
More than 200 Rider students, faculty and staff gathered on the Moore Library steps on November 29 to kick-off the holiday season, as the Cranberry King Travarus Fauntleroy and Queen Maria Panvini assisted the Rider Bronc in illuminating the 35,000 lights that will brighten the campus and the spirit of the Rider community throughout the remainder of the semester. more info...

Hoops Teams Enjoy Fast Break
The Rider University basketball teams are off to great starts this year. The women, under new Head Coach Lynn Milligan, are 3-1 at home thus far in front of their largest Alumni Gymnasium crowds in years (nearly 3,000 fans in four games). The men’s team earned national respect at the Old Spice Classic, defeating Penn State while losing by just nine points to the eventual tournament champion, North Carolina State, and by 13 points to the 20th ranked team in the country, Kansas State. They are now 5-3 on the young season and are undefeated at the Broncs’ Zoo. more info...
Two Westminster Ensembles Participate in Christmas Recording Project to Benefit Children in Africa
