| The Office of Career Services hosted 80 recruiting organizations
during the Rider Fall Career Fair in the Cavalla Room of the
Bart Luedeke Center on Thursday, Nov. 1. More than 300 students
and alumni attended. Joyce Tyler, director of career services,
indicated that student and employer evaluations and comments
were overwhelmingly positive at the end of the day.
Attending employers were actively seeking new hires for
full-time, internship and summer job opportunities. “Most
students make the mistake of assuming the job search process
begins after the graduation ceremony,” said Tyler.
“However, the process begins as early as the freshman
year through academically related internships, co-ops, and
summer jobs obtained each year of their academic experience.
Employers constantly emphasize the importance of maintaining
good grades coupled with relevant work experience as the
best strategy in successfully landing a great job in the
future.”
