Kaleidoscope Chamber Series Concert “Music for
Midwinter” on December 15
Westminster Conservatory faculty will perform “Music
for Midwinter” on Friday, December 15 at 8 p.m. in Bristol
Chapel on the Westminster campus. This concert is part of the
Kaleidoscope Chamber Series. The program will feature works
that celebrate midwinter observances from different traditions,
including compositions by Bach, Brahms, Martin and others. Tickets
are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. There are
no free tickets for this performance.
A Concert for Chanukah by the Westminster Conservatory
Youth Chorale on December 16
The Westminster Conservatory Youth Chorale, conducted by Frank
Abrahams, will present its annual Chanukah concert on Saturday,
December 16 at 8 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus.
The concert will feature traditional works and new compositions.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.
There are no free tickets for this performance.
Westminster Community Orchestra Presents “As
the Story Goes” on December 17
The Westminster Community Orchestra from Westminster Conservatory
will perform “As the Story Goes” on Sunday, December
17 at 8 p.m. The program will include Prokofiev’s “Lieutenant
Kije Suite, Ravel’s Ma Mère l’Oye (Mother
Goose),” and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5 Reformation.
The performance will be held in Princeton High School Performing
Arts Center. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors
and students. There are no free tickets for this performance.
Westminster Community Chorus and Westminster Chamber
Choir Concert Entitled “Magnificat” on December
17
The Westminster Community Chorus and Westminster Chamber Choir
from Westminster Conservatory will present a program entitled
“Magnificat” on Sunday, December 17 at 8 p.m. in
Bristol Chapel. The program will feature settings of the “Magnificat”
and related texts by Gerald Finzi, Arvo Pärt and Michael
Praetorius. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and
students. There are no free tickets for this performance.
Westminster Symphonic Choir and New York Philharmonic
Performances of “Messiah” December 20-23
The Westminster Symphonic Choir will be performing Handel’s
Messiah with the New York Philharmonic on Wednesday and Thursday,
December 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, December
22 and 23 at 8 p.m. at The Riverside Church, 490 Riverside Drive

French-German Connection” January 14
Marjorie Selden and other Westminster Conservatory faculty
members will present a recital entitled “The French-German
Connection” on Sunday, January 14 at 3 p.m. in Bristol
Chapel on the Westminster campus. The recital will include music
for strings, winds and brass by Roussel, Saint-Saëns, Françaix
and others. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/seniors

Westminster Conservatory at Nassau Recital “Volanti
Flutes” on January 18
Flutists and Conservatory faculty members Ellen Fisher Deerberg
and Katherine McClure join flutists Jill Crawford and Barbara
Highton Williams in a recital on Thursday, January 18 at 12:15
p.m. in Niles Chapel at the Nassau Presbyterian Church located
at 61 Nassau Street in Princeton. Westminster Conservatory at
Nassau is a monthly series that is open to the public without
charge. The recital will be 30 to 40 minutes in length.
Rider Art Gallery Exhibit Features “Watercolor
Paintings” by W. Carl Burger
The Rider University Art Gallery is presenting an exhibit entitled
“Watercolor Paintings” by W. Carl Burger from Thursday,
January 25 to Thursday, February 22. The opening reception will
be held on Thursday, January 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. The Art Gallery
is located in the Bart Luedeke Center on the Lawrenceville campus
