Cool Yule Jazz IV Performance on December 1
A performance entitled “Cool Yule Jazz IV” will
be presented on Friday, December 1 at 8 p.m. in Bristol Chapel
on the Westminster campus. The evening will feature jazz arrangements
of holiday standards performed by Rider faculty members Philip
Orr, piano, and Jerry Rife, clarinet, who will be joined by
Norman Edge, bass, and Sean Dixon, drums. The performance will
also mark the release of their new CD "Cool Yule to You."
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students.
There are no free tickets for this performance.
“A Candlelight Christmas” Concert by the
Westminster Williamson Voices on December 2
The Westminster Williamson Voices conducted by James Jordan
will present “A Candlelight Christmas” on Saturday,
December 2 at 8 p.m. in Miller Chapel on the campus of the Princeton
Theological Seminary. Presented by candlelight, the concert
will include music and carols by Sandstrom, Lauridsen and Ord,
framed by Britten’s "Ceremony of Carols" sung
in Medieval English, performed by harp, organ and choir. There
are no advance ticket sales for this performance. Admission
will be at the door with a suggested donation of $15 for adults
and $10 for seniors and students. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

Handbell Holiday Concerts by the Westminster Concert
Bell Choir on December 2 and 3
Conducted by Kathleen Ebling-Thorne, the Westminster Concert
Bell Choir will perform arrangements of traditional holiday
works and original compositions on the largest set of handbells
in the world. Limited tickets are still available for the performance
on Saturday, December 2 at 8 p.m. The performance on Sunday,
December 3 at 3 p.m. is sold out. Both performances are in Bristol
Chapel on the Westminster campus, and tickets are $20 for adults
and $15 for seniors and students. There are no free tickets
for these performances.
One-Act Operas Savitri and Gianni Schicchi to be Presented
on December 2 and 3
On Saturday, December 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 3 at
2 p.m., Westminster Opera Theater will present two one-act operas:
"Savitri" by Gustav Holst and "Gianni Schicchi"
by Giacomo Puccini. Daniel Beckwith, head of opera studies,
is the music director and Bill Fabris is the stage director.
Both performances will be held in The Playhouse on the Westminster
campus, not the Princeton High School Performing Arts Center
as previously announced. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10
for seniors and students. There are no free tickets for these
performances.
Rider Choir Concert on December 3
The Rider Choir, conducted by Craig Tipton, will present a
holiday concert on Sunday, December 3 at 3 p.m. in Gill Chapel
on the Lawrenceville campus. Admission is free.

The Westminster Opera Theater will present a workshop entitled

The Rider Band, conducted by Jerry Rife, will present a holiday
concert on Monday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in The Yvonne Theater

“The Best Nowells That E’er Befell”
Performance by Fuma Sacra on December 10
Fuma Sacra, Westminster’s ensemble-in-residence, conducted
by Andrew Megill, will present a program entitled “The
Best Nowells That E’er Befell” on Sunday, December
10 at 7:30 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus.
The program will include Byrd’s "Mass for Christmas
Day," medieval Christmas carols and more. Admission is
$20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. There are no

Kaleidoscope Chamber Series Concert “Music for
Midwinter” on December 15
Westminster Conservatory faculty will perform “Music
for Midwinter” on Friday, December 15 at 8 p.m. in Bristol
Chapel on the Westminster campus. This concert is part of the
Kaleidoscope Chamber Series. The program will feature works
that celebrate midwinter observances from different traditions,
including compositions by Bach, Brahms, Martin and others. Tickets

A Concert for Chanukah by Westminster Conservatory
Youth Chorale on December 16
The Westminster Conservatory Youth Chorale, conducted by Frank
Abrahams, will present its annual Chanukah concert on Saturday,
December 16 at 8 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus.
The concert will feature traditional works and new compositions.

the Story Goes” on December 17
The Westminster Community Orchestra from Westminster Conservatory

Kije Suite,” Ravel’s “Ma Mère l’Oye
(Mother Goose),” and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.
5 “Reformation.” The performance will be held in

“Magnificat” to be performed by Westminster
Community Chorus, Westminster Chamber Choir on December 17
