Rider HRMA Chapter Wins National Recognition
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in Alexandria,
VA, has awarded the Merit Chapter designation to the HRMA student
chapter at Rider University for its outstanding job of providing
opportunities for growth and development of members. Recently,
the students gathered for a photo with the new plaque in recognition
of their achievement.
“The Society for Human Resource Management’s student
chapter helps to advance the human resources profession by demonstrating
their knowledge and commitment to the field of human resources.
This year’s student chapters serve as models of excellence,
not only to the other SHRM student chapters, but those of other
campus-based student organizations,” said Chuck Salvetti,
SHRM’s student programs manager.
The SHRM student chapter merit award program, in existence since
1972, recognizes achievements in four broad areas: professional
operation of the chapter, professional development of the members,
support of the profession and partnership with SHRM, and the HRMA
of Princeton, NJ.
In addition to receiving the specialized plaque, the HRMA at
Rider will be recognized in SHRM’s publications and at all
its conferences.
