SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES
  • Dr. Patrick Chmel, chairperson of the fine arts department, had his production review of "Tropicana" accepted into the Theatre Journal, a publication of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. "Tropicana" was produced by the English experimental group Shunt and was produced by the Royal National Theatre in January.
  • Dr. Ralph Gallay, associate professor of marketing, has published his article, "Mortgage Decision ... Lower Payment or Faster Payoff?", in The Journal of American Academy of Business, Cambridge, Vol.7, No. 1, September, 2005.
  • Dr. Laura Hyatt, assistant professor of biology, presented a paper titled "What causes population size variation of invaders? Resources and demography of Alliaria petiolata" at the 90th annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America and the IX International Congress of Ecology in Montréal, Quebec, Canada on August 9. Her student coauthors, Rebecca Rodriguez and Rajmeet Mann, graduated from Rider in May.
  • Dr. Ilhan Meric, professor of finance, has an article, titled "Time-varying Correlation of the Emerging Markets with the U.S. Stock Market," published by the St. John's University Peter J. Tobin College of Business in Volume 9, No: 3, of the Journal of Emerging Markets. Dr. Gulser Meric of Rowan University is the co-author of the article.
