It was with profound sadness that President Rozanski informed the campus community of the tragic deaths of two of students - Judy A. Muth, a sophomore education major, and her brother James A. Muth, an incoming freshman and merit scholar. Both Judy and James lost their lives in a fatal traffic accident in Cape May County late Sunday morning, September 4, as they were traveling to the Lawrenceville campus.

The Rider University community extends its heartfelt sympathy to the Muth family. A Mass of Christian Burial for Judy A. Muth, a sophomore education major, and her brother James A. Muth, an incoming freshman and merit scholar, was celebrated Saturday, September 10 at St. Raymond's Roman Catholic Church in Villas, NJ.
