  • Dr. Richard Alexander, chairperson of the geological and marine sciences department , has passed a milestone with 33 years of university research -- 24 of which are at Rider. He has also passed the 100 publication threshold at 104, including several book chapters, with four publications in referred journals or international meetings coming out this year. Included in that list are 30 publications and presentations with students as junior or senior authors since he came to Rider in 1981.Twenty four Rider students have co-authored articles and/or presented their thesis research at regional, national, or international meetings.
  • Amber Henley, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) counselor, completed Rider’s Education Specialist (ED.S) program this past May and is currently working to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. Previously, Henley earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University in 1994 a master’s degree in Counseling from Rider in 1999.
  • Ida Tyson, associate director of EOP, has been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, 2004-2005 in its ninth edition, which will be published this month.
