It is with deep regret and sadness that Rider University announced to the campus community last week the passing of two students in car accidents.

David A. Hunt, a senior education and psychology major, lost his life on Friday, November 11, as a result of injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle accident in Shamong Township, NJ. He was on his way to attend the New Jersey Education Association Conference in Atlantic City. The family asks that memorial donations may be made to the charity or cause of the donor’s choice.

John Kostic, a junior finance and actuarial science major, passed away from injuries suffered in a multi-vehicle accident late Friday afternoon, November 18, in Lawrence Township. As a student leader, John made outstanding contributions to the Rider community as a member of the Resident Advisor staff, the Student Finance Board, the Residence Hall Association, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and the Catholic Campus Ministry. Catholic Mass was offered for John Sunday evening in Gill Chapel.

The Rider community extends its heartfelt sympathy to their families and asks that you keep David and John and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
