Westminster Williamson Voices to Perform on Sunday, November 13
Westminster Williamson Voices, conducted by James
Jordan, will present a concert entitled Music of the Spheres at
The Philadelphia Cathedral, 3723 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia
on Sunday, November 13 at 8 p.m. The program will feature choral
music from various parts of the world dramatically presented in
the spectacular spaces and lighting of The Philadelphia Cathedral.
The ensemble will present music by American composers Stephen
Sametz and Roger Ames, Scandinavian composer Sans David Sanstrom,
Estonian Urmas Sisask and Felix Mendelssohn that focuses on the
use of the choral ensemble to create vastly different soundscapes
for the listener's ears. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for
students/seniors. They will be available at the door or can be

Westminster Faculty Recital on November 13
Eric Hung, a member of the music history faculty at Westminster, will present a recital of contemporary music on Sunday, November 13 at 3 p.m., in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus. Performing on the piano, he will be joined by guest artists Beryl Lee Heuermann, soprano and Charles Nichols, violin. The program will include original compositions by both Heuermann and Nichols, as well as works by contemporary composers William Albright, Toru Takemitsu and John Harbison. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Rider faculty, staff and students receive two free tickets with a valid Rider University ID. They can be picked up at the Westminster box office weekdays between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. or reserved by calling 609-921-2663.
Westminster Conservatory to Present a Gallery Concert on November 16
Westminster Conservatory will present the first of its 2005-2006 Gallery Chamber Music Concerts on Wednesday, November 16, at 7 p.m. in the Rider University Art Gallery on the Lawrenceville campus. The concert is open to the public without charge. The program includes Quartet in D Major, K. 285, for flute and strings by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the Trio for flute, viola and 'cello by François Devienne. The performers will be Kevin Willois, flute, as well as Franklin Strings members Marjorie Selden, viola, and Carol Redfield Vizzini, 'cello, and guest artist Andrew Kirkman, violin.
Westminster Conservatory at Nassau Concert on November 17
Violin sonatas by Debussy and Fauré will be presented at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, November 17, as part of the series Westminster Conservatory at Nassau. The recital will take place in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street in Princeton. The performers, Denise Huizenga, violin, and Phyllis Alpert Lehrer, piano, are faculty members of Westminster Conservatory. Ms. Lehrer is also professor of piano and director of graduate piano pedagogy at Westminster. Westminster Conservatory at Nassau is a monthly series that is open to the public without charge. The recital is 30-40 minutes in length.
