Faculty Development Day Set for January 18
A new faculty development program will take place Tuesday, January 18, 2005. The program will focus on "Effective Instruction for Rider Students" with presentations by Dr. Eric Hobson, professor of writing & linguistics and director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching at Georgia Southern University. Dr. Hobson will speak about "Motivating Students and Getting Students to Read." Also included will be breakout sessions where faculty can learn and share ideas about what effective instruction for Rider students can look like. The program will end mid-afternoon with a wine and cheese social event. Registration information will be distributed shortly.
