The Rider chapter of the National Broadcasting Society captured first place awards for four of the six categories in which it was nominated at the 45th National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition on March 15 in Anaheim, Ca. More

  • Wawa's Four C's - Customer, Communication, Convenience and Coffee
  • Wawa CEO Howard Stoeckel ’67, a member of the Rider University Board of Trustees, shared his thoughts on change and every other aspect of business with a capacity crowd inside Sweigart Auditorium on March 13. His appearance, billed as "My Choice, My Wawa," was sponsored by the Leadership Development Program, the focal point of the Center for the Development of Leadership Skills.


  • Rider to Offer Rock-Solid Language Learning Program
  • Whether you want to brush up on your Spanish skills, or are planning a trip to France and want to become familiar with the language, a new initiative at Rider University can make it happen. Beginning April 1, RosettaStone, the language-learning software that helps users learn up to 30 different languages, will be available to all Rider students, faculty and staff with EasyPass access on the Library portal and a number of secondary links on the University's Web site.


  • Rider Hosts Mercer Science and Engineering Fair
  • Hundreds of the brightest young scientific minds in the area converged upon Rider University for the 56th Mercer Science and Engineering Fair during the week of March 17. John Wu, a sophomore at Princeton High School, won the grand prize in the senior division for his project, Ear Recognition: A New Biometrics Device, at the March 18 awards ceremony before 1,300 guests inside Alumni Gymnasium.


  • Three Students Place in N.J. State Leadership Conference
    Three students of the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter at Rider University placed in the N.J. State Leadership Conference on March 1 at Mercer County Community College.


  • Secure a Space at Identity Theft Presentation
    Rider University's Center for Business Forensics (CBF) will host a free seminar focusing on the major issues surrounding identity theft and fraud. Topics will address identity theft and its forms; who is at risk; ways to protect yourself from identity theft; and the steps that should be taken if you are a victim of identity theft.



  • Gender and Sexuality Studies Program Hosts GASSP! Colloquium
    The Gender Studies Program at Rider University added sexuality to its mix last year, becoming the Gender and Sexuality Studies Program (GASSP). This year, to highlight its new name, the program’s annual event is called the GASSP! Colloquium.
