The "business," in this case, is the Student Venture Experience (ENT 420), an elective course in Rider's Entrepreneurial Studies program that won a Best Practice Award at the Small Business Institute National Conference in San Diego from February 14 to 16. More

Rider's varsity athletics programs didn't only enjoy competitive success in their respective sports during the fall semester. According to the Fall 2007 report issued by NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative Dr. Jonathan Husch, the Broncs collectively registered a 3.05 grade point average for the semester, marking the highest collective GPA ever produced by Rider student-athletes.

Looking to capitalize on the prevalence of online social networking,
the Rider University Office of Alumni Relations has introduced
MyRider, a network-based, interactive online community for Rider
University and Westminster Choir College alumni, current juniors
and seniors, as well as faculty and staff.

Nadeau Announces Retirement

Following a distinguished 37-year career as a professor of Geological,
Environmental and Marine Sciences, and most recently, 11 years
as dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Education and Sciences,
Dr. Joseph E. Nadeau has formally announced his retirement from
Rider University effective July 1, 2008. In commemoration of his
dedicated service to Rider University, our community will honor
Dr. Nadeau at a retirement celebration on Friday, April 18, from
3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bart Luedeke Center Cavalla Room.

Appointments Add New Energy to Rider

The Office of the President and the Office of University Communications
have recently added new staff members who are eagerly tackling
the challenges of their new positions. Since their arrivals, Beverly
Braddock, special events and project manager, and Sean Ramsden,
director of editorial services, have already made significant
contributions on behalf of the University’s internal and
external constituencies and are looking forward to furthering
their roles in the months and years ahead.

Phillips Leads the Charge for Rider Rumba
Of
all the student groups available at Rider University, Danielle
Phillips chose the perfect fit upon arriving in Lawrenceville
three years ago. Emerging Leaders, designed to connect involvement-oriented
students with others on campus, seems to capture Phillips’
desire to affect change among her fellow students, but the truth
is, the Rider campus can barely contain the junior Public Relations
major from Budd Lake, N.J.
