Elliott Award for Distinguished Service during the Opening Fall Convocation on September 2 in the Yvonne Theater.

The 940 new students arriving at their appointed residence halls for Move-In Day on Rider’s Lawrenceville campus might have found the sunny, warm and dry weather uncharacteristically nice for Labor Day weekend, but the spirit of helpfulness and community they also encountered is something they’re just going to have to get used to.

Rider University’s men’s basketball team collected school supplies and donated backpacks filled with pens, pencils, glue sticks, erasers and scissors, as well as Rider T-shirts, and donated them to Larry Richardson and the “It’s Academic Sports Mentorship Program” in Trenton.
