Rider University Intramural (IM) Fall 1 sports registration is open! Students, faculty and staff can sign up now through Thursday, September 12, to participate in Flag Football, Dodgeball and Indoor Volleyball.

The league’s four-week regular season will begin on Monday, September 16, and continue into the playoffs until a champion is recognized. More than 20 student workers are employed to supervise and fairly officiate the games as well as market and coordinate the special events.

“The IM program is the bread and butter of the Recreation Programs department,” said Dianna Clauss, associate director of Campus Activities. “With more than 800 participants, we have some students who play in every league and others who just play their favorite sport. Intramurals are a great way for students to participate in sport at the recreational level, meet new friends, stay in shape, reduce stress, and also get involved on campus.”

Other sports leagues in Rider’s Intramural program include Basketball, Wiffle Ball, Outdoor Soccer, Handball, Indoor Soccer, Softball and Floor Hockey. These leagues are offered at different times of the year than the Fall 1 offerings.
