The Office of Campus Life and the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics of Rider University are proud to welcome Howard Dean as Rider’s Constitution Day 2011 keynote speaker. Dean will deliver his keynote address on Thursday, October 6, at 6 p.m. in the Cavalla Room of the Bart Luedeke Center.
A former governor of Vermont, Democratic National Committee chair and presidential candidate, Dean currently works as an independent consultant focusing on the areas of health care, early childhood development, alternative energy and the expansion of grassroots politics around the world.
Dean’s attempts to earn the 2004 Democratic nomination for president established him as a pioneer in Internet-based fundraising and a champion of grassroots organizing. He remains a staple of cable-news political talk shows.
Constitution Day 2011 celebrates the 224th anniversary of the United States’ seminal federal document.
