LuAnn Longenecker, head of the Early Childhood Department at Westminster Conservatory of Music, will be a guest on Views & Voices this Saturday, February 5 at 7 p.m. on WWFM The Classical Network.  She will be joined by Ken Guilmartin, creator of Music Together, Rhonda Hackworth of the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers and program host Rachel Katz to examine the intrinsic benefits of music to being a well-rounded person and the role of classical music in a child's education.

Their discussion will cover the importance of exposing young children to music and the challenges that it presents, some of the ways that parents can introduce children to music and why it’s important to encourage children to explore classical music in particular?

Westminster Conservatory is the community music school of Rider University’s Westminster College of the Arts.  You can listen to WWFM The Classical Network at 89.1 FM in central New Jersey or online at www.wwfm.org.
