Westminster Choir College will once again offer a wide array of performances throughout the year – including choral concerts, individual recitals, chamber music and opera and music theater performances. The first choral concert is with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and its new music director, Jacques Lacombe September 24 – 26. They’ll perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Copland’s Canticle of Freedom at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the Community Theater at Mayo Center for the Performing Arts in Morristown.
Other fall season highlights include Westminster Music Theater’s production of the hit The Light in the Piazza October 22 through 24 and Westminster Opera Theater’s Gala in the Princeton Public Schools Performing Arts Center December 3 and 4.
In addition to ticketed events, many Westminster performances are open to the public at no charge – including recitals by faculty from both the Choir College and Westminster Conservatory, the community music school. Other free events include the Westminster Conservatory at Nassau series, lunchtime performances presented Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, and the Art Gallery series, presented in the Rider University Art Gallery.
