Tharyle Prather has a unique position at Rider that allows him to perform many different functions. Not only does he personally oversee every activity that occurs on the Yvonne Theater stage, he also designs, technically directs, and teaches for the theater area of the department. Mr. Prather received his Master of Fine Arts in Design and Technical Theater from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. He has designed approximately 80 productions since the fall of 1978 when he began his educational career. Some of his favorites include Hair, Dracula, Picnic, Dreamgirls, Equus, Extremities, Stop the World I Want to Get Off, and The Sound of Music.
