Suzanne Lehrer is excited about returning to the Westminster Conservatory as a member of the piano faculty. Ms. Lehrer taught at the Conservatory from 1998-2009, taking a break to be at home with her two young children, now ages three and six. She has also been running an independent piano studio in Princeton since 1998. Along with teaching private and group piano lessons, Ms. Lehrer was the founder and director of the Elementary School Piano Camp at Westminster Conservatory from 2004-2009 and served as part of the Conservatory’s faculty for the Young Musicians and Young Artist’s program on Saturdays, coaching chamber music and teaching performance classes.
Ms. Lehrer graduated from Westminster Choir College of Rider University with a Master of Music in Piano Performance where she studied with Jose Ramos-Santana. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in piano and a minor in English Literature from the University of Rochester in 1995. As part of her undergraduate education, she studied classical and jazz piano at the Eastman School of Music.
Suzanne Lehrer is an active member of the New Jersey Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association and the Piano Teachers Forum. She was recently asked to serve on the board of the Steinway Society.
Ms. Lehrer currently studies piano with Ena Bronstein Barton. She is also studying the guitar with Monica Mugan.
