Patrick Schmidt is an associate professor of music education at Westminster.  A native of Brazil, Dr. Schmidt teaches courses on philosophy and sociology of music education, as well as research, secondary methods and Hip Hop and Music Education.  His most recent publications can be found at the Philosophy of Music Education Review, the  Finnish Journal of Music Education,  Action, Theory and Criticism in Music Education, and in the Brazilian journal of ABEM.
