Lillian Livingston is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Piano at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. She is the Director of the Professional Development Certificate Program for Independent Teachers. She is also Director of the Westminster’s summer piano camp for middle school students.
Ms. Livingston is a National Certified Teacher of Music as administered by the Music Teachers Association and is on the Board of Judges for the National Piano Guild of Piano Teachers. She is the recipient of numerous teaching awards including the honor of being awarded a Foundation Fellow by the Music Teachers National Organization. This program recognizes deserving individuals who have made significant contribution to the teaching profession and the world of music. In 2013, she was also recognized by the New Jersey State Music Teachers Association and was selected as Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Livingston is an active adjudicator and clinician and has presented workshops, lecture recitals, and master classes in the United States, Canada and Germany. She maintains an independent studio in New Jersey. Her students participate in competitions and perform in the community. They have performed in special venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and at Lincoln Center in New York. She is widely respected as one of the foremost authorities on teaching the adult student and has presented seminars on this topic at the Music Teachers National Conferences and the World Piano Pedagogy Conferences.
