Welcome to my web page!

I am a Professor at Rider University in the Economics Department and the program director for the Gender and Sexuality Studies Program.  In addition, I am a Research Associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research.

My research interests have always focused on child policy issues.  My thesis examined the US foster care system.  Currently, my research focuses on the impact of poor child health on family resources.

While at Rider University, I have won two teaching awards, one for innovation in the classroom and a university wide distinguished teaching award.  In addition, I have been nominated two times for Who’s Who in America’s Teachers.
