Justin Proffitt began his piano studies at the age of six. He received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at Westminster Choir College in 2012. He has given solo piano recitals and performed widely as a church musician. He studied piano with James Goldsworthy, Sheila Paige and Stephen Nielson, and piano pedagogy with Kenon Renfrow, Phyllis Lehrer and Ingrid Clarfield. In addition, he has studied the injury-preventative techniques of Taubman and Alexander.
With eight years of teaching experience, Mr. Proffitt has worked with students of all ages and maintains an independent studio in the Princeton area. He has been on the piano faculty of Westminster Conservatory of Music since 2010, and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
