American University; Biopsychology, Experimental Psychology Professor. Dr. Brosvic is an experimental psychologist specializing in the biological bases of sensation and animal learning.
Dr. Brosvic serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Children's Aid Foundation (ICAF), an international foundation which operates exclusively in the orphanages, abandoned baby units, and homes for the irrecoverables in Romania. Dr. Brosvic directs the Bright Beginnings program which orphanage workers in fine and gross motor skills, speech and language skills, behavior modification, social and affective development, discipline and aggression management, and circle time activities. Children's social and emotional development, cognitive development, problem behaviors, and temperament are collected from birth through age six. Research Assistant Profiles: Students are actively involved in the analysis and presentation of research projects examining the effects of long-term institutionalization on the development of social, emotion, physical and cognitive skills.
