Denise Mihalik holds a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Westminster Choir College. After graduation, she became one of two mezzo-sopranos in residence with the National Opera Company touring much of the United States. Denise apprenticed with the Lyric Opera of Cleveland and has sung with many different opera companies and orchestras throughout the states in such roles as, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Meg Page in Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, and Perichole in La Perichole, among others.
Presently, Denise is on the voice faculty of the Westminster Conservatory of Music in Princeton, New Jersey where she teaches private voice and YogaVoice group classes. She is also a voice instructor at Felician College and a certified yoga instructor. Previously she has been on the voice faculty of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Meredith College in North Carolina, and taught Singers Diction at University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
