Westminster Schola Cantorum Open Rehearsal

Westminster Schola Cantorum is one of three curricular choirs that form the core of the Westminster experience. Composed of students in their second year of study at Westminster, the ensemble prepares students for the Westminster Symphonic Choir, which performs and records with the world’s great orchestras.

Westminster Symphonic Choir

Recognized as one of the world’s leading choral ensembles, the Westminster Symphonic Choir has recorded and performed with major orchestras under virtually every internationally known conductor of the last 75 years. The choir has performed more than 350 times with the New York Philharmonic. Dr. Joe Miller is director of choral activities at Westminster. As conductor of the Westminster Symphonic Choir, Dr. Miller has collaborated with some of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors, earning him critical praise “Joe Miller’s Westminster Symphonic Choir was subtle when asked and powerful when turned loose.” – The New York Times.

Westminster Chapel Choir Open Rehearsal

The Westminster Chapel Choir is composed of first-year students at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. Each fall the ensemble performs at Westminster’s Family Weekend Concert and at “An Evening of Readings and Carols.” Founded in 1949, the Westminster Chapel Choir takes its name from Westminster’s rich history of leadership in the field of sacred music and from the time when the choir sang in campus chapel services.

Westminster Williamson Voices Open Rehearsal

The Westminster Williamson Voices is a highly select ensemble that emphasizes world music and the music of our time.  It is named for Westminster’s founder, John Finley Williamson, who believed that choral music performed at the highest level should be accessible to all.

Westminster Choir Open Rehearsal

Setting the standard for choral excellence for 94 years, the Westminster Choir is one of five auditioned ensembles at Westminster Choir College.  It has been the chorus-in-residence Spoleto Festival USA since 1977, performing both in concert and as the opera chorus. The ensemble’s season includes a concert tour, performances and broadcasts at its home in Princeton and its annual residency at the Spoleto Festival USA.

The Rider Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, invites inductees and their families to celebrate the leadership contributions of our newest members with this formal ceremony to officially welcome them to the Circle.

The Office of Service Learning invites families to help us build our caring community by participating in easy on-site service projects that benefit local families in Trenton. Rider families are asked to bring items to help us start creating our Thanksgiving Baskets.

A complete Thanksgiving Basket is made up of the following items: canned vegetables, gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, juice, baked beans, canned fruit or applesauce, spaghetti sauce, pasta products, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, tuna, rice, $20 for the turkey and pie.

100 Rider students were asked….“What are you going to do with your family during Family Weekend?” Survey says… “Win prizes during Family Feud!” That’s right…Recreation Programs is hosting another game show to add to our repertoire (Price is Right, Minute to Win It, etc.) and we’re asking Rider families to come have a great time with us while competing in this popular game show. All you need is 3-5 “family/friends” to enter into the game and we’ll take it from there.
