Rider Alumni and community members alike have found Gill Chapel to be an elegant and convenient place to say “I do.” Gill Chapel is a non-denominational facility available to be booked for your special day. Rider’s Conference Services full-time professional staff are trained to handle all the details of your ceremony. Rider also has a number of facilities to accommodate your wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, and bridal showers.

Q: How many guests can Gill Chapel accommodate?
A: Gill Chapel has 19 rows of pews with a center aisle that can accommodate around 300 guests.
Q: How long is the center aisle?
A: The center aisle measures 65’ long.
Q: Is there a piano in Gill Chapel?
A: Yes, there is a baby grand piano and a Rogers Organ in the chapel that can be used for your ceremony. Our conference services staff can provide you with a list of musicians for hire.
Q: Am I required to use a Rider officiant?
A: You are not required to use a Rider officiant for your ceremony. If a member of the Rider Board of Chaplains is not the officiant, we cannot provide the appropriate religious articles. These should be provided by the chaplain of your faith.
Q: Can I burn candles during our ceremony?
A: Yes, the use of candles is acceptable with the use of drip cups.
Wedding Receptions, Bridal Showers and Rehearsal Dinners
Rider has plenty of banquet space to host your special event. Our banquet rooms range in size from intimate rooms for 100 guests to our Cavalla room which can accommodate up to 400 guests and a dance floor. Our in-house caters will develop menus to suit your every desire and cater to your every need.
