Study Tours by Rider University is excited to welcome international students to North America for its ninth year of operation.  We pledge to present all of our guests with the same service and distinction that has made us a popular summer destination for the past eight years.  We are eager to begin and look forward to meeting our students for 2013!

Rider University
Lawrenceville, New Jersey

The Rider Experience located on Rider University’s Lawrenceville, New Jersey campus is located just outside the New York metropolitan area. On-campus amenities include an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool, volleyball and tennis courts, state-of-the-art fitness center and recreation center, and game room.

Incorporating the best of the East Coast sites and cities, you will experience such program highlights as a cruise of the New York Harbor, an overnight stay in Washington, D.C. – the nation’s capital, Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a Broadway show, dinner at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square, and world class shopping on New York’s Fifth Avenue. The breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a tour of the American History Museum top off your fifteen-day experience.

Saint Mary’s College
Moraga, California

The San Francisco Experience, hosted at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California is located just 20 miles from San Francisco.  The 420-acre Mediterranean style campus with en-suite accommodations creates a picturesque backdrop where you can enjoy outdoor recreation and swimming.

Take in the sights of San Francisco aboard a Cable Car, walk the Golden Gate Bridge, down Lombard Street – “the crookedest street in the world,” and through the beautiful redwoods of Muir Woods.  Enjoy the various neighborhoods in San Francisco including Chinatown, Little Italy, Union Square, and Fisherman’s Wharf.  Head out of the Bay Area for full day excursions to Santa Cruz, for a beach day to Sacramento - California’s Capital - for sightseeing, and to Silicon Valley to the Intel Museum, Infinity Loop, and Stanford University.  Enjoy the houseboat city of Sausalito, then ride the ferry to the Embarcadero and Ferry Building, and finally take a cruise over to Alcatraz to visit the famous jail where many criminals once stayed.

Drew University
Madison, New Jersey

Drew University is now the home of the New York Experience. Drew's hometown, Madison, is located 30 miles west of Midtown Manhattan. The university is situated on a beautiful, wooded 186-acre campus with rolling foothills in northern New Jersey. The en-suite accommodations at Drew University are a short 10-minute walk from the Madison train station, which provides direct access to the cultural, educational and professional offerings of Manhattan via New Jersey Transit's Midtown Direct Service.

The New York Experience at Drew University explores this great city via guided tour through Midtown Manhattan, Soho, Little Italy, and Chinatown.  The program contains breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a walking tour of the Chelsea District where city slickers walk the High Line, stroll through Bryant Park, stop at Grand Central Station, and shop in Herald Square. Join us as we cruise the New York harbor, and visit the Statue of Liberty in the city that never sleeps.  Don’t forget world class shopping on Fifth Avenue!  Finally, experience an overnight in Niagara Falls with dinner at the famous Hard Rock Cafe.

Pitzer College
Claremont, California

Claremont, California at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains is a picturesque town with all the charm of the west coast. Claremont will also serve as your headquarters for the Los Angeles Experience at Pitzer College. The campus, known for its Californian landscapes and mountain views will place you just 40 minutes from the city center of Los Angeles. Plenty of open spaces for recreation, an outdoor swimming pool, and just a 15 minute walk to the town center of Claremont, this campus is ideal for your Los Angeles study holiday.

While on tour with The Los Angeles Experience, be on the lookout for celebrities while on tour of Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood before strolling down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Enjoy sunbathing and swimming at some of the hottest beaches in Orange County and watch gorgeous sunsets as you relax with your friends at a bonfire. See stars on the Walk of Fame and in the sky at the Griffith Observatory. Take a ride to “The Entertainment Capital of the World” and walk the strip in Las Vegas, Nevada before heading to the Grand Canyon, Arizona on a three-day, two-night excursion. Don’t forget to leave room for some outlet shopping too!

Crowne Plaza – Melbourne
Melbourne, Florida

The Florida Experience will have you bathing in sunshine on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Accommodations in Crowne Plaza, Melbourne, Florida put you in the middle of all that central Florida has to offer. This site’s manicured tropical landscapes and exquisite rooms will make your stay very enjoyable. Campus amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, recreation fields, lounge space, chocolate shop, and commissary.

Full-day excursions to NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center, wildlife and conservation tour, and two days in the theme parks of Walt Disney World are just a few of the program highlights. Also included is a three-night stay in Miami, Florida with a visit to the bustling South Beach, Miami’s Art Deco district, Everglades and Key Biscayne National Park, and world class shopping on Ocean Drive.

Curry College
Milton, MA

Culture and history will surround you during the Boston Experience. Curry College will serve as your headquarters, just 30 minutes from the downtown city center and harbor. Beautiful views and open spaces, with state-of-the-art facilities describe this active college campus.

While on your vacation, you will visit historic Boston landmarks while walking the Freedom Trail and spending an evening in prestigious Harvard Yard, home to Harvard University. Enjoy a tour of the city’s many neighborhoods by land before splashing into the water for a breathtaking view of the waterfront while on board the popular Duck Tours. Spend an afternoon whale watching, exploring museums, and shopping throughout the city during this program. Keep your camera charged for breathtaking views of Niagara Falls in an overnight trip to one of the most beautiful sights in the world.

Felician College
Rutherford, New Jersey

Felician College in Rutherford, New Jersey is located only minutes from Midtown Manhattan.  Enjoy this proximity along the banks of the Saddle River; the beautifully landscaped 27-acre campus gives you the best of both worlds – a serene college setting in a suburban community with easy access to New York City.

The New York Experience at Felician College opens up the opportunity for participants to design their own activities in New York City while also featuring pre-organized excursions as part of the experience.  You will visit the 9/11 Memorial at Ground Zero, the Wall Street area and the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, the magnificent  Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Top of the Rock, and world class shopping on Fifth Avenue.
